This role manages end-to-end Talent Acquisition for Home Building Products Sales (Cement, TMT, Tiles, Paints, Pipes, Sanitary, etc.) along with core HR Generalist responsibilities. The role ensures timely hiring of sales talent, smooth employee lifecycle management, compliance, and coordination with regional business leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition - Home Building Sales (Primary Responsibility)
- Manage full-cycle hiring: sourcing, screening, interviewing, salary discussion, and closure.
- Hire for Field Sales, Dealer/Distributor Sales, Channel Sales, ASM/RSM, Technical Sales, and Home Building Advisors.
- Build strong pipelines through job portals, referrals, social hiring, and market mapping.
- Coordinate with business heads to define JD, competencies, and hiring needs.
- Reduce hiring TAT through proactive planning and active talent pool creation.
- Conduct initial HR screening and shortlist candidates as per sales competency model.
- Manage negotiation, offer rollout, and joining follow-up.
2. HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Handle onboarding & induction for new hires (especially state/regional sales teams).
- Maintain employee records, HRMS data, attendance, and confirmation cycles.
- Support HRBP in performance management, goal setting, and appraisals.
- Address field team concerns-travel claims, attendance, leave, system issues.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives tailored to sales teams.
- Assist in policy communication, grievance redressal, and disciplinary actions.
- Drive compliance related to labor laws, contractor management, and audits (as applicable).
3. Business Partnering:
- Act as the HR point of contact for all Sales Heads, RSMs, ASMs, and field staff.
- Understand sales productivity metrics and align hiring accordingly.
- Provide HR analytics: attrition trends, hiring status, pipeline status, early attrition.
- Support manpower planning, territory expansion, and restructuring.
4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage recruitment vendors, negotiate rates, and track performance.
- Coordinate with Finance/Admin for onboarding, assets, and travel support.
- Liaise with marketing and sales training teams for capability building."
