
JOB DESCRIPTION:HR Business Partner (HRBP):
Manufacturing Operations - Baroda, Gujarat
Reports To: Head - HR
Location: Baroda, Gujarat (Plant)
Experience: 8 - 10 years
Focus Area:
Talent Management & HR Projects (primary), with generalist HRBP coverage
Role Summary:
Strategic and operational HR partner to the Baroda plant leadership, weighted toward Talent Management and HR Projects rather than a purely transactional HRBP mandate - owning talent review, succession planning, performance management, and site-level HR project execution, alongside day-to-day HRBP engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Management:
- Drive annual talent review/calibration (9-box, HiPo identification) and succession planning for critical roles; build IDPs with functional heads.
- Own performance management cycle end-to-end - goal setting, reviews, appraisals, calibration.
- Design competency frameworks for manufacturing roles; support career pathing and internal mobility.
- Coordinate assessment centers/psychometrics for key talent decisions.
HR Projects:
- Lead HR transformation projects - HRMS/HRIS rollouts, policy harmonization, reward redesign.
- Project-manage corporate-cascaded HR initiatives, ensuring plant-level implementation and governance.
- Run engagement surveys and convert results into site-specific action plans; support Lean/Kaizen/5S culture initiatives.
- Maintain HR dashboards/MIS on talent, attrition, engagement, and project metrics.
HR Business Partnering:
- Primary HR point of contact for assigned functions on org structure, workforce planning, and people issues.
- Partner on manpower planning, budgeting, and recruitment prioritization; manage ER matters including grievances and IR coordination.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour law (Factories Act, Standing Orders, state norms); support comp review and rewards cycles.
Candidate Profile:
- 8 - 10 years progressive HR experience in a plant/manufacturing HRBP or Talent Management role.
- Track record designing/running talent review, succession, or performance management processes at BU/site level.
- Has led at least one significant HR project end-to-end (HRIS, engagement intervention, competency rollout, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Gujarat labour law/IR practices preferred; strong stakeholder influence skills; comfortable with regular shop-floor presence.
- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent from a recognized institute.
