What You'll Do:
Hiring and onboarding:
- Partner with hiring managers across teams to define roles, run hiring pipelines, and close candidates efficiently.
- Own the onboarding experience end-to-end, ensuring new hires integrate well and ramp quickly.
- Maintain a structured view of open roles, pipeline health, and hiring velocity across the company.
Employee relations and People operations:
- Be the first point of contact for employees and managers on people matters, from day-to-day questions to sensitive situations.
- Handle grievances, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution with fairness, discretion, and good judgment.
- Ensure the company's people practices are compliant with applicable labour laws and regulations.
- Own HR documentation, including offer letters, contracts, policies, and the employee handbook.
Performance and development:
- Design and run performance review cycles in partnership with leadership, covering goal setting, mid-year check-ins, and annual reviews.
- Support managers on performance improvement plans, promotions, and compensation discussions.
- Identify development needs across the team and work with managers to address them.
Culture and engagement:
- Champion a strong, inclusive team culture as the company scales, running engagement initiatives that reflect where the company is at each stage.
- Track early signals of disengagement or attrition and address them proactively.
- Conduct exit interviews and translate patterns into actionable recommendations for leadership.
HR operations and strategy:
- Build and maintain HR processes, SOPs, and systems that scale with the business without creating unnecessary overhead.
- Provide leadership with data and insights on headcount, attrition, hiring, and team health.
- Partner with finance and legal on payroll, compliance, and people-related operational matters.
Who You Are:
- 3-5 years of experience in an HR generalist or HRBP role, ideally with exposure to a fast-growing startup or technology company.
- Comfortable owning the full HR function independently you don't need a large team or established playbook to operate well.
- Strong instincts for people situations you're empathetic, discreet, and exercise sound judgment in sensitive cases.
- Organised and process-oriented you can hold hiring pipelines, review cycles, and employee cases in parallel without dropping the ball.
- A credible partner to senior stakeholders you can hold your own in conversations with founders, business heads, and external candidates alike.
- Clear communicator, written and verbal, across a range of audiences and contexts.
- Familiarity with Indian labour law and HR compliance fundamentals.
- Prior experience in fintech, financial services, or a regulated industry is a plus.
