Description:
Role Purpose:
The HRBP will act as a strategic partner to business leaders in an NBFC environment, aligning HR initiatives with business goals. The role focuses on workforce planning, talent management, performance management, employee relations, and compliance, while supporting rapid growth and regulatory requirements typical to financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Partnership:
- Partner with business heads to understand business objectives and translate them into effective HR strategies
- Provide proactive HR advisory support on organizational design, manpower planning, and productivity
- Drive HR initiatives aligned with business growth, cost optimization, and risk management
Talent Management:
- Support end-to-end talent lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, development, retention, and succession planning
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition for critical and frontline hiring (sales, credit, operations, collections)
- Identify high-potential employees and support leadership development initiatives
Performance & Rewards:
- Drive performance management processes (goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals)
- Support performance improvement plans and differentiation of high/low performers
- Partner with Compensation & Benefits team on increments, incentives, and variable pay cycles
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues
- Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and analyze engagement survey results
Compliance & HR Governance:
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, HR policies, and NBFC regulatory requirements
- Support audits, inspections, and internal HR governance processes
- Maintain strong documentation and MIS reporting
Change & Culture:
- Support change management initiatives such as restructuring, mergers, or expansion
- Reinforce company values and culture across business units
- Enable communication and leadership effectiveness
Key Stakeholders:
- Business Heads & Functional Leaders
- HR COEs (TA, C&B, L&D, Payroll)
- Employees across levels
- External consultants / legal advisors (as needed)
