Job Title: HR Business Partner - APAC Commercial

Summary:
The HR Business Partner - APAC Commercial will act as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the Commercial leadership team across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is responsible for aligning people strategies with business priorities to drive growth, enhance organizational effectiveness, and build a high-performance culture.
The HRBP will support employees and managers across markets such as India, Singapore, Australia, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, ensuring consistency while adapting for local cultural and legal nuances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR Partnership:
- Partner closely with APAC Commercial leadership (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Commercial Ops) to understand business goals and design people strategies to enable them.
- Provide strategic guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, territory expansion, and capability building.
- Lead HR components of organizational changes such as restructurings, market expansions, and M&A integration.
- Drive communication plans and support leaders in managing change across their teams
2. Talent Management & Development:
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development programs for the region.
- Identify critical talent gaps and partner with Learning & Development to implement targeted development initiatives.
- Support managers in creating strong development, coaching, and performance plans for their teams.
3. Performance & Culture:
- Drive performance management cycles and embed a culture of continuous feedback.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives and build a culture aligned with company values.
- Act as a role model for inclusion and foster a culture of psychological safety across diverse markets.
4. Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Manage complex employee relations cases with a balanced, pragmatic approach.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws across APAC markets, collaborating closely with legal teams.
- Provide coaching to managers on conflict resolution, compensation issues, and policy interpretation.
5. HR Programs, Processes & Execution
Partner with Centers of Excellence (Comp & Ben, Talent Acquisition, L&D, Mobility) to deliver global HR programs locally.
Support cross-country onboarding, offboarding, workforce transitions, and mobility assignments.
Ensure HR processes are executed effectively and consistently across all APAC countries.
Qualifications:
- 10-12+ years of HR generalist or HRBP experience, ideally in multinational, matrixed environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting commercial teams (Sales/Marketing/Customer Success).
- Strong understanding of APAC employment laws and cultural dynamics.
- Proven ability to build trust and influence senior business leaders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and manage multiple markets.
Education and/or Work Experience:
- Experience in high-growth markets.
- Exposure to organizational transformation or commercial scaling.
- Postgraduate
Travel: 25-30% travel (primarily within Asia)
