We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the accounts payable process.

This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to streamline processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency within the department, and supporting the overall financial health of the House of Spices.

Essential Functions:

- Lead, mentor, and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are met.

- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance to maintain high standards of productivity and accuracy.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.

- Implement best practices and procedures to optimize the accounts payable process, including automation and digitalization initiatives.

- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

- Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionally, maintaining positive vendor relationships.

- Oversee the preparation and distribution of accounts payable reports, including aging reports, accruals, and other relevant financial data.

- Conduct regular analysis of accounts payable data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements in all accounts payable activities.

- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud or errors in the accounts payable process.

- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, finance, and operations, to support company-wide initiatives and ensure alignment of goals and objectives.

- Act as a subject matter expert on accounts payable matters, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

- 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial role, with 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.

- Proficiency in accounting software Microsoft Dynamics 365 NAV and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
