What Will You Be Doing:

We are seeking a leader who can think visually & quantitatively parse thru data, rapidly interpret what consumers are seeking, take risk adjusted decisions, and plan for right sourcing create inhouse or curated from brands to feature the latest trends to consumers. The leader will be tasked with building new categories that feature unparalleled selection, enabling Hopscotch to serve every occasion in a childs life.

You Will Be Responsible For:

- Growth: Your role will involve driving revenue growth through (i) increasing customer share of wallets and (ii) acquiring new customers. You will achieve this by understanding consumer needs and strengthening / building selection within categories. As a leader of the buying organization, you will be challenged to think creatively about rapidly filling assortment gaps, strengthening assortment, and delivering step function growth in revenue each quarter

- Profitability: You will own (i) assortment width and strategize, plan, execute supplies from create or curate channels to deliver optimal selection proposition & profitability. (ii) Long-term growth of the storefront by providing the right selection and price points to the consumer

- Merchandise (product) excellence: Youll be responsible for participating in qualitative research, understanding the consumer Hopscotch serves, and defining unique standards to win the customer

What Skills & Experience Youll Bring:

- Assortment building: 14+ years experience in a fast-paced environment buying or product (merchandise) expertise. Exposure to selling online is a plus

- Technical skills: Has a high-level understanding of the end-to-end supply chain - fabric, designing, production, cutting, stitching, finishing, costing, buying & sell through management

- Vendor management: The understanding and ability to inspire + nurture win-win relationships with vendors and factories

- Technology: Experience is a plus

- Agility: The ability to work in a fast paced organization, be hands on, rapidly create collections, and wear multiple hats

- Leadership: A driver personality that is biased towards action, collaboration, and master disambiguator/simplifier. Constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery.

- Grittiness: You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away

- Left and right brain thinking: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to marry instinct with data and metrics to hone understanding

- Truth Seeking mindset: A never-ending desire to grow and learn

- Leading a team of 15/20 buyers: Mentoring, hiring, developing and nurturing talent, are critical aspects of this role.

- Collaboration across functions and stakeholder management: Synchronizing efforts across revenue, marketing, operations, running buying reviews, leading the charge on helping the broader organization understand buying decisions and garner support where needed.
