Responsibility:
- Prospect, qualify, and generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our home automation and institutional solutions to generate leads through various channels.
- Understand customer requirements, preferences, and budget constraints to recommend appropriate products and services.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and proforma invoices to potential customers, outlining the value proposition and pricing details.
- Negotiate terms and close sales agreements with consumers and institutional customers.
- Follow up with clients to ensure successful implementation and satisfaction with the purchased products and services.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in CRM covering customer interactions, and sales transactions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product developments, and competitor offerings to effectively position our products and differentiate from competitors.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including technical support, installation, and customer service, to ensure seamless products and solutions delivery and support to consumers and institutional customers.
Key Result Areas:
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for home automation products and services.
- Generate leads through industry specifiers and influencers, qualify prospects, and close sales to achieve individual sales targets.
- Identify and acquire new channel partners and institutional customers through prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition and address customer needs.
- Update CRM system with accurate and timely information on sales leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Prepare customized proposals, quotes, and contracts for customers, outlining solutions and pricing details. Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to ensure win-win agreements and close sales deals.
- Provide exceptional during and post installation service to consumers and customers by following laid out policies on complaints management.
- Collaborate with technical support, installation, and customer service teams to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of home automation solutions.
- Communicate customer requirements, feedback, and requests to internal stakeholders for product and service improvements.
Knowledge:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers to drive sales and foster long-term relationships.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with home automation systems, smart devices, and IoT technology is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using any office suite and CRM software for sales tracking and reporting.
- Willingness to travel within the designated sales territory as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience:
- At least 5+ years of frontline sales experience in related industries.
- An excellent team player and good selling skills.
- A strong connect with architects/IDs will be an added advantage.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Communications, and/or Electrical). An MBA or equivalent from a reputed institute will be a plus.
- Proven experience in sales, with a track record of success in delivering sustainable revenue growth and market expansion within the home automation and/or any product category selling through specifiers/influencers and retail channel.
- A strong process orientation and digital tools adoption/use.
