Education : B.Sc in Agriculture or related field or the equivalent BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION : 1) Develop and implement a global production strategy I sourcing strategy for a given crop or the Asia Crop Portfolio. 2) Define crop placement benveen areas and vendors as well as general business terms (price & quality) in order to ensure that i) seed production meets contracted quantities and quality standards (germination, hybridity, and disease parameters) ii} crops are contracted, planted,harvested and sh ppedin a timely manner, and iii) that crop estimates as \Yell as delivery dates are updated in the system in a timely manner. 3) Set & execute the Production Contracts from STS sh pment to the vendors till Production Lot acceptance and settlement with vendor. Ensure that contracts are enteredin the system and datais up to date. Establish and develop relationships \Vith Vendors and Gro\ver networks. Manage Vendor relations and mon tor all evels of production to meet desired quality,cost and quantity. Recommend and negotiate annual contract prices with vendors/growers. Manage Crop Acceptance of the Production Lots, Settlement and Payment to Vendor against Contract Requirements. 4) Manage the Stock Seeds (STS) production/supply accord ng to the Commercial Seed Production plan and forecast. Monitor STSlots used and ensure that they meet company standards and goals. Ensure policies set by Management are applied (phytosanitary protocols, seed movement policies, safety & environmental policies, mandatory trainings, Limagrain code of conduct, Intellectual Property protection). Assess Crop Performance (Production Location, Vendor..) after the main production cycles for a given crop. Document and share the main findings with the Production Team and the main stakeholders (Release Team). 5) Assess Producibility of our varieties with a specific focus on new parental lines. Collaborate with Plant Breeders and Product Managers to develop the optimal supply plan and product availability timeline for ne\v variety introductions. Investigate new regional alternatives by exploring countries, areas, vendors, methods, to ensure production supply all year round. Develop production trials through implementation of technical or managerial programs or intiatives that can be run across the different sites and growers/vendors as applicable. In relation with the Production Research Manager and the Technical Experts, define and implement all necessary technical experimentation aiming at improving seed productivity and quality.
