Role Overview:

The Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for end-to-end logistics execution and performance across the designated cluster. The role ensures operational excellence in secondary distribution, fleet management, warehouse operations, and last-mile delivery, while maintaining cost efficiency, service quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Logistics Execution & Control:

- Lead day-to-day logistics operations for plant dispatches, warehouse management, and market deliveries.

- Monitor route planning, shipment tracking, on-time delivery, and return logistics.

2. Fleet & Vendor Management:

- Oversee owned and third-party fleet performance, cost, and productivity.

- Drive SLAs, contracts, and engagement with 3PL and transport vendors.

3. Cost & Productivity Management:

- Optimize freight, distribution, and storage costs across the region.

- Analyze data to identify efficiency improvement opportunities.

4. Warehouse Operations:

- Ensure inventory accuracy, FIFO/FEFO compliance, and safety in secondary warehouses.

- Implement SOPs for inbound/outbound handling, space utilization, and security.

5. People Management:

- Lead and mentor field logistics teams, including on-ground supervisors and operators.

- Drive capability-building, performance reviews, and adherence to values and safety norms.

6. Systems & Reporting:

- Leverage TMS/WMS and SAP systems for operational visibility and performance tracking.

- Generate dashboards, KPIs, and compliance reports for Cluster Head and Central SC.

7. Compliance & Safety:

- Ensure statutory, EHS, and internal audit compliance in all logistics operations.

- Drive zero-incident culture and training across the logistics workforce.

Role Qualifications:

- Bachelors in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering; MBA preferred.

- Strong experience in FMCG/Beverage logistics handling high-volume distribution.

- Hands-on expertise in route planning, TMS/WMS, and vendor management.

- Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Open to mobility within the cluster/state.

- Strong presentation and communication skills.
