
Role Overview:
- Collaborate to design and develop plans to mitigate and manage risk to business operations.
- Develop and implement engagement plans for the factorys local community and its stakeholders, including Industry Department, Skill Development Department, local municipal corporations, Industrial Development Corporations, State Pollution Control Board and Water Authorities, and other relevant local statutory, regulatory and enforcement authorities.
- Monitor regulatory landscape to manage risks and share insights.
- Strategically guide the company brand experience for stakeholders, within and outside of Plant.
- Execute the companys long-term water, waste, agriculture, climate change, and community initiatives in and around the factory.
- Collaborate and engage with members of the public, industry associations, media, and NGOs in and around the factory.
- Develop and implement programs, events and communication plans that integrate with the overall business goals and objectives.
- Engage with NGOs and monitor CSR activities around state.
- Act as an advisor, counsellor to factory managers and the operating teams on public affairs and community issues.
- Implement guidelines, narratives, and experience for factory tours by visitors including regulatory and government officials.
- Act as the local IMCR (Incident Management and Crisis Resolution) Manager and implement risk management initiatives.
- Monitor critical consumer concerns and support Business Units on the same through the knowledge of Consumer Response System and ensure timely resolution of incidents.
Functional Skills:
- Knowledge of local political landscape.
- Ability to work with Policy makers and third parties to make the case for positive change.
- Strong relationships with policy makers, regulators, government bodies, legislatures.
- Experience of working in public affairs, public relations, media, CSR, or political domain.
- Knowledge of issues and trends in the manufacturing sector and the broader social, economic, political, and environmental landscape.
- Knowledge of crisis and issues management.
- Ability to deliver complex projects on time.
- Strategic thinking and effective networking and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to attend sensitively to various stakeholder issues.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, writing; the local language and English.
