Manager - Culture & Employee Engagement

Location: Bengaluru, Support Centre

Experience: 8 - 10 years

The Role:

HCCB operates across a large and diverse network of manufacturing locations, markets and offices. Building a strong, consistent culture across this footprint requires a clear understanding of the employee experience, disciplined listening, and sustained action.

The Manager - Culture & Employee Experience will lead this agenda for HCCB. The role will shape and execute the organisation's culture programmes, lead employee listening and engagement, translate insights into action, and define how the culture agenda is communicated across the organisation.

This is a role with significant enterprise visibility and regular engagement with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the Culture Agenda:

Develop and execute HCCB's culture agenda, translating organisational priorities into programmes, interventions and ways of working that can be sustained across functions and geographies.

Establish the operating rhythm, tools, governance and internal network required to embed these programmes across the organisation. Build for sustained adoption and measurable impact, beyond individual campaigns or launch moments.

2. Lead Employee Listening and Engagement:

Own HCCB's employee engagement and listening agenda end to end, including survey design and deployment, analysis, leadership reporting and action planning.

Go beyond enterprise-level scores to identify meaningful differences across functions, zones, employee groups and organisational levels. Translate quantitative and qualitative insights into clear priorities and work with leaders to develop focused interventions.

Track progress over time and ensure that employee feedback results in visible, credible organisational action.

3. Shape Culture and Employee Communications:

Define how HCCB's culture and engagement agenda is communicated across the organisation.

Develop narratives and content for key initiatives and leadership communication, and translate them into effective formats for different employee audiences. Work closely with the internal & external communications team and agency partners to ensure consistently high standards of execution.

Ensure communication is relevant and accessible across HCCB's diverse workforce, from plant and frontline employees to senior leadership and the Board.

4. Advise and Partner with People Leadership Team [PLT]:

Bring employee and culture insights into discussions with the PLT and other senior leadership forums.

Present findings clearly, including where the data points to difficult or unexpected conclusions. Facilitate leadership discussions and working sessions, challenge assumptions where required, and help translate insights into clear organisational actions.

What We Are Looking For:

Essential Experience and Capabilities:

- 8 - 10 years of experience across culture, employee engagement, employee experience, organisation development or related areas.

- Strong experience in employee listening and engagement surveys, with the ability to interpret data beyond headline scores and identify underlying organisational patterns.

- Demonstrated ability to translate employee insights into practical interventions and action plans.

- Confidence and credibility in working with senior leaders, including presenting a point of view, facilitating discussions and constructively challenging established thinking.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex organisational issues clear and relevant to different audiences.

- Strong programme management capability, including the ability to take initiatives from design through implementation, governance and sustained adoption.

- Strong flair for communication, visual storytelling and design, with a sharp eye for presentation quality, layout and aesthetics. Able to raise the standard of decks and creative output, and brief designers and agencies with clarity and good judgement.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience developing culture or employee experience programmes from the ground up and subsequently operating them at scale.

- Experience working in a large, geographically dispersed organisation, particularly with manufacturing, field-based or frontline employee populations.

- Strong judgement on communication quality, storytelling and creative execution, with the ability to brief and manage designers, filmmakers, agencies and other creative partners effectively.

- Experience working across multiple functions and stakeholder groups in a complex organisation.

What Success Looks Like:

Success in this role will be measured by the strength and consistency of HCCB's culture agenda, the quality of employee insight available to leaders, and the organisation's ability to convert that insight into meaningful action.

The role requires someone who combines analytical depth with execution discipline: someone who can identify what matters, build the right response, and stay with the work through implementation and adoption.

What HCCB Offers:

This is a senior-sponsored agenda with enterprise-wide visibility and the opportunity to influence how people experience HCCB at scale.

The role offers the mandate to shape the approach, build the required programmes and capabilities, and work closely with leaders and teams across the organisation to strengthen culture and employee experience.
