Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead the India market for Formulation Business Development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end Business development, including identifying new opportunities, launching new molecules, and ensuring operational excellence across the value chain. This position requires a deep understanding of India's pharmaceutical landscape, customer-centric strategies, and a growth-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the P2P (Product-to-Product) formulation Business Development in the Indian market.
- Identify and engage new clients/customers to introduce and pitch new generic molecules.
- Drive expansion of product offerings and build a robust customer portfolio.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business targets.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Manage client interactions to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and product basket expansion.
- Ensure alignment between customer expectations and organisational deliverables.
- Lead the introduction and market launch of new generic molecules.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and commercialisation.
- Conduct competitive intelligence to position new launches effectively.
- Collaborate with R&D, Intellectual Property, and Licensing teams for technical and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to ensure timely order execution and delivery.
- Work closely with Finance teams to ensure timely invoice processing and payment collections.
- Oversee supply chain management to ensure smooth product movement and inventory planning.
- Handle audit requirements in collaboration with internal teams and customers.
- Track sales forecasts and manage purchase order cycles.
- Conduct regular market analysis to assess competition, pricing trends, and market demand.
- Identify untapped opportunities for business growth in the domestic formulation market
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's in Pharmacy/Science; MBA in Marketing or Business Management preferred.
Experience: Minimum 20+ years in formulation Business development, with proven success in India's pharmaceutical market.
