About the job
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute a global Business Development and Sales strategy for biosimilars, including monoclonal antibodies and emerging biologic therapies.
- Drive out-licensing partnerships, co-development, and distribution agreements across regulated and semi-regulated markets.
- Build and nurture strategic alliances to strengthen the biosimilars pipeline and expand global market access.
- Provide project management oversight to ensure timely execution of business initiatives, contracts, and partnership deliverables.
Business Growth & Market Development
- Lead international sales, marketing, and commercialization strategy for the biosimilars portfolio.
- Expand the companys biosimilars footprint across US, EU, LATAM, Middle East, APAC, and Africa.
- Monitor market intelligence, competition, and regulatory updates to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Drive P&L accountability and deliver revenue, profitability, and EBITDA targets for the biosimilars division.
Licensing & Partnerships
- Negotiate and execute out-licensing deals for biosimilars.
- Manage strategic collaborations, joint ventures, and technology transfers with global partners.
- Strengthen relationships with multinational pharma, biotech companies, and regulatory authorities.
Regulatory, Commercial & Project Integration
- Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, and Manufacturing teams to align business objectives with development and approval timelines.
- Oversee cross-functional project management, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and partner commitments are met.
- Ensure commercial readiness planning for product launches in global markets.
- Drive pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies to maximize biosimilar adoption and market penetration.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team across BD, Sales, and Project Management.
- Represent the company at international conferences, industry forums, and high-level negotiations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Medical / Life Sciences / Pharmacy Graduate (MBBS, PhD, MPharm, MSc Biotechnology, or equivalent); MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Project Management, and International Marketing within the Biosimilars/Pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record in out-licensing, global partnerships, alliances, commercialization, and international business expansion.
- Strong global network with biotech, pharmaceutical, and licensing partners.
- Deep understanding of biosimilars regulatory pathways, commercialization models, and competitive market dynamics.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
