Responsibilities:
- Support the HORM to develop, maintain and implement Operational Risk practices, policies, framework, governance and reporting mechanisms in the organisation.
- Assist first line of defence/business unit (1LOD) in identification, assessment and reporting of inherent and residual risks faced in the respective process;
- Assist 1LOD to establish controls, testing of design & effectiveness of these controls while providing an independent opinion and recommendations for improvements.
- Assist and train 1LOD to utilize ORM tools & techniques for identification and assessment of risks and ensure reporting mechanism in place;
- Assist ORM team via analytics to identify data trends, build data dashboards, and highlight lapses via data presentation across all line of business (LOBs);
- Assist ORM team in building dashboards using tools for showcasing meaningful insights to management such as loss data trends, KRI tracking etc.
- Manage the Operational Risk Incident & Loss Event Data collection and reporting process.
- Prepare operational risk dashboards and reports for senior leadership, Board Risk Committee, and regulators.
- Liaison with IT and Data Management team to extract data for use in analytics, creating dashboards and trend analysis;
- Conducting of RCSA, KRI tracking, and control effectiveness reviews
- Perform Incident & loss event data management and root-cause analysis
- Gain broad understanding of other risk areas such as Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Information Security, Reputational Risk among other financial and non-financial risks;
- Identify risk/control gaps, operational inefficiencies, and non-compliance areas within SOPs. Recommend changes to enhance risk mitigation and process effectiveness
- Support the development and testing of BCP and Crisis Management frameworks.
- Partner with Product, Process, and Technology teams to assess operational risk in new initiatives and system changes.
- Support HORM in implementation of regulatory guidelines released from time to time by understanding the requirements, building implementation roadmap and framing of action plan.
