Role Objective :

The role is responsible for ensuring end to end compliance, audit readiness, and operational risk management across product portfolios of Wheeled Assets businesses (Two-wheeler, Electric Vehicle, Car Loans). The incumbent will act as the single point of ownership from Product for audits, regulatory compliance (RBI/statutory), portfolio guardrails, disclosures (KFS, Schedule of Charges, pricing), and early risk detection-while enabling business growth in a controlled and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Audit Management & Regulatory Compliance

- Own and manage product level audits, including Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, RBI/Regulatory Audit, Concurrent Audit, and any special reviews.

- Lead process and system walkthroughs for auditors; ensure accurate and timely data, SOPs, policies, and evidence submission.

- Track audit observations and ATRs, ensure time bound closures, and validate closure effectiveness with Internal Audit / Compliance teams.

- Act as Product SPOC for all audit related communications and escalations

2. Product & Portfolio Compliance Oversight

- Conduct periodic portfolio reviews against approved product notes, credit policies, PAC approvals, and regulatory guidelines.

- Review adherence to policy guardrails (pricing, tenure, LTV, customer eligibility, disclosures, exceptions).

- Identify deviations, assess risk impact, and drive corrective actions with Product, Credit, Ops, Tech, and Business teams.

- Support annual product reviews and PAC submissions from a compliance and risk lens.

3. Customer Disclosures & Regulatory Artifacts

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance of:

Key Fact Statement (KFS)

Schedule of Charges (SoC)

Pricing Policy and disclosures on website / customer facing channels

- Periodically validate alignment between system logic, customer communication, and approved policies.

- Coordinate updates with Legal, Compliance, IT, and Marketing wherever required

4. Business & Operational Risk Management

- Work closely with ORM/Risk teams to identify product specific operational and compliance risks.

- Review and strengthen risk guardrails, controls, and maker checker mechanisms across product journeys.

- Support Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA) and ensure Product ownership as the First Line of Defence.

5. Early Warning & Portfolio Monitoring

- Define and monitor early warning triggers across the portfolio (process deviations, control breaches, customer complaints, audit flags).

- Track trends and emerging risks; proactively recommend policy/process changes to the Product Head.

- Collaborate with Analytics, Risk, and Ops teams to build MIS and dashboards for ongoing monitoring.

6. Training & Capability Building

- Design and deliver periodic compliance and audit readiness trainings for Product, Ops, Sales, and allied teams.

- Ensure teams are updated on regulatory changes, internal policy updates, and audit learnings.

- Institutionalize learnings from audits into SOPs and operating manuals.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of NBFC regulations, RBI guidelines, KFS/FPC requirements

- Deep exposure to product audits, operational risk, and compliance frameworks

- Ability to translate regulations into practical product and system controls

- Strong documentation, audit articulation, and stakeholder management skills

- High attention to detail with a problem solving mindset

Education & Experience

- MBA / CA / CS / CFA / Risk or Compliance related qualification preferred

- 7-12 years of experience in Product, Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Operations within NBFC / Financial Services

- Prior experience handling RBI / Statutory / Internal audits is strongly preferred

Success Measures (First 12 Months)

- Zero high risk repeat audit observations

- Timely closure of all audit CAPs

- Improved portfolio compliance metrics

- Effective early warning detection and risk mitigation

- Strong compliance awareness across product teams
