Head of Technology Retail & Partnerships


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Technology Leadership

- Own the technology vision and roadmap for the retail loans and partnerships business, ensuring alignment with overall NBFC strategy and an AI-first approach.

- Champion the adoption of AI, automation, and advanced analytics in all technology initiatives.

- Drive digital transformation and modernization of legacy systems to deliver best-in-class customer and partner experiences.

End-to-End Delivery & Support

- Lead the design, development, deployment, and support of technology solutions for retail lending and partnership channels, with AI-driven automation and analytics at the core.

- Ensure robust, scalable, and secure platforms that meet business needs and regulatory requirements.

- Oversee incident management, service delivery, and continuous improvement for all technology assets in the portfolio.

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with business leaders, product managers, and cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and prioritize technology solutions, always seeking opportunities to leverage AI for business value.

- Translate business objectives into actionable technology initiatives, ensuring traceability and measurable outcomes.

- Act as the single point of contact for business stakeholders on all technology matters related to retail and partnerships.

Vendor & Partner Ecosystem Management

- Build and manage relationships with a diverse set of technology vendors and partners to accelerate delivery and innovation, with a focus on AI-enabled solutions.

- Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure vendors deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

- Foster a collaborative ecosystem that leverages external expertise while maintaining strong internal governance.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated technology team, fostering a culture of excellence, agility, and continuous learning with a strong focus on AI skills and innovation.

- Establish best practices in software development, quality assurance, and project management.

- Drive talent development, succession planning, and high engagement within the technology organization.

Compliance, Security & Quality Assurance

- Ensure all technology solutions comply with regulatory standards (e.g., RBI guidelines, data privacy, and security).

- Oversee quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and solution validation to confirm alignment with business intent.

Eligibility Criteria:

Experience: 15+ years in technology roles within NBFCs or financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position overseeing large-scale delivery and vendor management.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. MBA preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

- Deep expertise in retail lending, partnership models, and NBFC credit workflows.

- Proven track record in leading digital transformation and AI-driven initiatives.

- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and partnership-building skills.

- Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and integration frameworks.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking abilities.

- Familiarity with agile and hybrid project methodologies.

- Knowledge of regulatory, data privacy and security requirements relevant to NBFCs.

- Entrepreneurial mindset and a can-do attitude.
