Job Title - Head Wholesale Inventory Funding and Working Capital Finance
Location - Hyderabad (Head office) - All India operations
Reporting to - Group Chief Business Officer

Position Overview
The Head of Wholesale Inventory Funding and Working Capital Finance will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory funding, working capital finance, and term loans for a multi-brand, pan-India automobile distribution business. This role will ensure seamless arrangement, renewal, and repayment of finance limits for vehicle, spare parts, and accessory procurement from various OEMs, as well as routine and expansion working capital needs. The position involves building and maintaining robust relationships with banks, NBFCs, internal/external stakeholders, and financiers, alongside leading a high-performance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance relationships with Banks, NBFCs, and other financiers to timely arrange inventory funding, working capital limits (including dealer channel and supply chain finance), and term loans for all operational and strategic business needs.
- Lead management of facility renewal, expansion, limit enhancement, and repayment, ensuring no overdue accounts and proactive limit planning for future business requirements.
- Monitor vehicle and parts stocks; authorize fresh billing based on real-time inventory, avoiding excess stocking and ensuring finance limits are not exceeded or overdue.
- Coordinate finance arrangements with all OEMs and automobile brands for procurement; ensure working capital lines remain aligned with business growth/expansion plans.
- Fulfil regular and event-driven stock audits for each financier; maintain and provide accurate statements, reports, and documentation for compliance and regulatory needs.
- Oversee preparation and compliance of legal agreements with financiers; ensure adherence to regulatory requirements including stock statements, balance sheet analysis, and reporting.
- Manage internal teams and external stakeholders to guarantee seamless finance availability and utilization across geographies and product categories.
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team of executives, driving operational excellence and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications & Experience
- CA or MBA Finance (preferred), or equivalent post-graduate degree.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in Banking, Finance, or Automobile sectors with deep exposure to supply chain finance and working capital management.
- Demonstrated expertise in balance sheet analysis, inventory management, stock audits, regulatory compliance, and documentation.
- Advanced command of financial analysis, negotiation, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
Desired Skills:
- Exceptional relationship management, communication (oral and written), and negotiation abilities.
- Strong knowledge of stock audit fulfilment, inventory control processes, and financial reporting.
- Strategic planning capability for proactive assessment and arrangement of financial limits for routine and expansion needs.
- Proven ability to manage high-value inventory across multi-locational operations within stringent regulatory frameworks.
