POSITION PURPOSE  - Head, Treasury is responsible for managing company funds, investments in new business lines, conducting financial due diligence of investment opportunities and ensuring financial health of the surplus. Also responsible for managing accounting activities and ensuring financial health of the firm.  POSITION CONTEXT  - Head, Treasury will be responsible for driving investment and funding for existing and new planned ventures. Responsible for making prudent investment opportunities which yield desired results. He will enable financial planning and control for all existing and new business lines at MEL for achievement of long term and short term business objectives.   JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES	  Operational   1. Assist MD in identifying new investment opportunities, arranging funds for business expansion, and drafting of prospective programmatic budgets  2. Accountable for the management of the following :  - Financial accounting   - Cash flow and treasury management  - Financial risk management (including currency and insurance risk)  - Investor relations  - Treasury management  3. Overseeing capital management, including identifying capital requirements and investment sources, establishing strategies to approach investors and ongoing investor communication   4. Development and maintenance of systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization  5. Managing relationships with all lender (banks, financial institutions)  6. Conducting financial due diligence of opportunities before committing fund allocation   Coordination  1. Control of flow of cash in investments   2. Providing senior management with advice on the financial implications of investment activities  3. Coordinating and cooperating with auditors  Compliance   1.
