Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven National Trade Marketing Manager with an MBA/PGDM from a premier B-School and a strong background in sales development within the FMCG sector. The role focuses on driving trade marketing strategies at the national level to boost product visibility, optimize shelf space, and accelerate sales growth across multiple channels. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop innovative trade programs and strategic partnerships that maximize market penetration and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive national trade marketing strategies aligned with overall brand and business objectives.

- Drive trade marketing initiatives across various channels, including modern trade, general trade, e-commerce, and other relevant platforms.

- Collaborate with sales teams and distributors to design and execute impactful promotional campaigns, merchandising activities, and in-store engagements.

- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities and challenges within trade channels.

- Lead the planning and management of trade budgets with a focus on maximizing ROI and meeting sales targets.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, distributors, and trade partners to enhance brand presence and shelf space.

- Conduct periodic trade audits and performance analyses to measure the effectiveness of trade marketing programs.

- Train and mentor regional and field sales teams on trade marketing strategies and best practices.

- Work closely with brand managers to ensure alignment and seamless execution of go-to-market plans.

- Monitor and report on sales metrics and trade activities to senior management.

- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure optimal product availability at key retail outlets.

Qualifications & Skills:

- MBA/PGDM from a premier B-School with specialization in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management.

- 14 to 20 years of relevant experience in trade marketing and sales development within the FMCG industry.

- Proven track record in designing and executing successful trade marketing campaigns at regional or national levels.

- Strong understanding of FMCG sales channels, trade dynamics, and retail ecosystem.

- Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to interpret data and market insights to drive decisions.

- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficient in MS Office, trade marketing software, and CRM tools.

- Strategic thinker with a customer-focused and results-oriented approach.
