Role Overview:

As the Head - 3PL, you will be responsible for strategically leading and managing all aspects of the company's third-party logistics operations. This encompasses overseeing vendor management, warehouse operations, transportation, and inventory control to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain solutions. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including sourcing, operations, and client management, as well as external 3PL partners, to optimize logistics processes and deliver exceptional service. Your leadership will directly impact the company's ability to meet customer demands, control costs, and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the overall 3PL strategy to align with the company's business objectives and growth plans.

- Manage and nurture relationships with existing 3PL providers to ensure service level agreements are met and performance is optimized.

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new 3PL partners through rigorous sourcing and negotiation processes to expand capabilities and reduce costs.

- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment, to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize lead times.

- Optimize transportation routes and modes to reduce shipping costs and improve delivery efficiency.

- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track 3PL performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Manage and control logistics costs to ensure budget adherence and maximize profitability.

- Negotiate contracts with 3PL providers to secure favorable terms and conditions.

- Collaborate with client management teams to address customer logistics needs and resolve any issues.

- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals to foster a high-performance culture and drive continuous improvement.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful 3PL strategies that drive cost savings and improve operational efficiency.

- Proven expertise in vendor management, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.

- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation logistics.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree/PG in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

- 12-16 years of relevant experience in supply chain and logistics management.
