Job Overview:

- The Head of Temenos will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Temenos core banking platform (Transact/T24) within the organisation - including strategic planning, system enhancements, implementation governance, and ongoing operational stability.

- This senior leadership role requires both deep Temenos domain expertise and strong people, project, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Planning:

- Develop and drive the Temenos platform strategy aligned with the organisation's business goals and digital transformation roadmap.

- Provide visionary leadership for Temenos initiatives, ensuring scalability, performance, and innovation of core banking capabilities.

- Collaborate with senior stakeholders (Business, CTO/CIO, Risk, Compliance) to prioritise and roadmap Temenos enhancements.

Platform Implementation & Governance:

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Temenos Transact/T24 projects including upgrades, migrations, module implementations, and data migrations.

- Oversee technical architecture decisions, integration framework, IRIS API usage, and performance optimisation.

- Ensure strict governance, compliance, and risk mitigation for all Temenos initiatives.

Team Leadership:

- Build, lead, and mentor a team of Temenos developers, functional analysts, architects, and support engineers.

- Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning and cross-functional collaboration within the core banking and IT team.

Operational & Technical Oversight:

- Ensure operational stability, high availability, and seamless daily operations of the Temenos platform.

- Provide direction on system configuration, customisations, testing, and release management.

- Champion DevOps/CI-CD, cloud adoption, automation, and best practices across the platform.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

- Act as the primary point of escalation for all Temenos-related issues, decisions, and vendor escalations.

- Manage relationships with Temenos support, consultants, and third-party partners to ensure efficient delivery and support operations.

- Engage regularly with business users to understand requirements, align expectations, and validate solutions.

Quality, Risk & Compliance:

- Ensure development and delivery adhere to regulatory requirements, internal risk controls, and industry best practices.

- Oversee robust UAT, test planning, regression testing, and automated quality checks.

- Drive continuous improvement in security, performance and customer experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

- 12+ years in IT or core banking technology leadership roles, including significant Temenos Transact/T24 experience.

- Strong strategic planning and stakeholder management skills.

- Proven track record leading large scale core banking transformations, upgrades and digital programs.

- Hands-on understanding of Temenos architecture (Integration Framework, IRIS, etc.) and modern banking technologies.

Preferred:.

- Temenos certification(s) or equivalent demonstrable expertise.

- Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and large cross-functional teams.

- Prior exposure to cloud-native deployment, DevOps practices, and API-driven ecosystems.
