Head - Technology (Onsite/WFO) - Smart Mobility Platform

Responsibilities:

- Leading the end-to-end technology build of the firm's Smart Mobility Platform.

- Own the technical architecture, make day-to-day build decisions, manage contracted specialists, and deliver a working platform - from firmware to mobile app to cloud backend.

- Will write code, review code, and be accountable for what ships.

- Will build and lead a team of 6 to 10 Engineers.

- Ideal Candidate must have worked at an Indian connected hardware or IoT company - EV, mobility, industrial automation, smart devices - and owned a significant part of the technical stack.

- Software Engineers with Hardware exposure.

- Must be from product development background, who have shipped physical product(s).

Mandatory Skills:

- Connected hardware - shipped a physical product that connects to the cloud. Production scale. Real users. Not a consulting project.

- BLE firmware - worked with ESP32 or equivalent BLE MCU. Written GATT code. Know when a BLE implementation is wrong.

- AWS IoT Core or equivalent - connected physical devices at production scale. Device certificates, MQTT telemetry, OTA updates.

- Mobile - React Native or equivalent. Shipped an Android app to Play Store. BLE integration in mobile strongly preferred.

- Backend - REST APIs, PostgreSQL or equivalent, multi-tenant SaaS architecture. Built a backend where multiple clients cannot see each other's data.

- Coordination - Worked with contracted specialists, reviewed their output, held them to a specification.
