Purpose:
This role is critical in driving the procurement and strategic management of technology packages that are essential for the steel manufacturing operations of the company.

Key Result Areas:
- Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies for technology packages that align with project execution schedules and long-term production requirements.
- Cost Optimization and Vendor Management: Drive cost optimization through competitive bidding, global sourcing, and strategic partnerships with OEMs and technology licensors to ensure reliability and innovation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Projects, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure procurement aligns with technical requirements and budgetary controls.
- Procurement Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, statutory regulations, and sustainability standards while driving transparency and audit readiness across procurement processes.
Critical Tasks:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for technology packages including blast furnaces, coke ovens, sinter plants, rolling mills, power systems, and automation solutions.
- Align procurement plans with project execution schedules and long-term production requirements to ensure timely delivery of critical equipment.
- Drive cost optimization through competitive bidding, global sourcing, and strategic partnerships with OEMs and technology licensors.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and domestic technology providers relevant to steel manufacturing processes.
- Establish long-term partnerships with OEMs and technology licensors to ensure reliability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Support project commissioning by ensuring timely delivery and installation of technology packages, and managing vendor coordination to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, statutory regulations, and sustainability standards across all procurement processes.
- Drive transparency, ethical practices, and audit readiness to maintain the highest standards of procurement governance.
Education Qualification & Certifications:
- Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain; MBA preferred.
- 17 - 20 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
Relevant Experience:
- Prior experience in procuring technology packages for steel manufacturing or large-scale industrial projects is highly desirable.
