About the Client:

Our client is a high-growth fintech platform building technology-led investment products across fixed income and alternative investments. Technology is central to the company's ability to scale its products, customer base and operations.

The Role:

We are looking for a Head of Technology to lead the technology function end-to-end, with ownership of technology strategy, architecture, engineering delivery and, critically, the engineering organisation. This role requires a strong people leader who has built and managed engineering teams, developed technology leaders and created a high-performance engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the overall technology strategy, architecture and engineering roadmap in partnership with the founders and product leadership.

- Lead, manage and scale the engineering organisation, including hiring, team structure, performance management, succession planning and leadership development.

- Build and mentor a strong layer of engineering managers and technical leads; create clear ownership and accountability across teams.

- Establish engineering processes, standards and metrics around delivery, quality, reliability and productivity.

- Own architecture across backend, frontend, mobile, APIs, data and infrastructure, ensuring the platform can scale securely and reliably.

- Partner closely with Product and Business to translate business priorities into effective technology solutions and execution plans.

- Build strong engineering practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, security and incident management.

- Drive technology hiring and build a high-quality engineering talent pipeline in Bangalore.

- Own technology risk, security, compliance and governance appropriate to a regulated fintech environment.

- Evaluate new technologies, platforms and AI-led opportunities that can materially improve product and engineering outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

- 12+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years managing and scaling engineering teams.

- Current or prior experience as Head of Technology / VP Engineering / Head of Engineering / CTO or equivalent.

- Proven experience building, managing and developing multi-disciplinary engineering teams, including managers and senior engineers.

- Experience scaling a technology organisation through a significant phase of business/product growth.

- Strong technical depth across system architecture, backend, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, security and DevOps.

- Experience with modern stacks such as Node.js, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL and cloud infrastructure is relevant.

- Experience in Fintech, Banking, Payments, Lending, WealthTech, Broking or another regulated environment preferred.

- Strong product and business orientation with the ability to work directly with founders and senior leadership.

- Demonstrated ability to balance technical excellence, team development and business velocity.
