Head - Taxation

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the end-to-end tax strategy for the organization, ensuring alignment with evolving national and international tax laws to optimize the firm's fiscal position.

- Oversee the preparation and filing of all Direct and Indirect tax returns, ensuring 100% accuracy and timely submission to maintain regulatory compliance.

- Lead high-stakes tax litigation and represent the firm before tax authorities and appellate tribunals to resolve disputes effectively.

- Provide expert advisory services to internal stakeholders and clients on complex tax structuring, transfer pricing, and cross-border transactions to minimize tax exposure.

- Implement robust internal controls and audit processes to identify potential tax risks and ensure adherence to statutory requirements.

- Mentor and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence to meet the firm's growth objectives.

Required Skillset:

- Possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 15-20 years of extensive experience in managing large-scale taxation portfolios.

- Demonstrate deep technical expertise in Direct Tax, Indirect Taxation, and GST frameworks, with a proven track record of handling complex tax assessments and litigation.

- Exhibit exceptional leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage diverse teams and influence senior stakeholders through data-driven insights.

- Maintain strong communication skills, enabling the clear articulation of complex tax concepts to non-technical clients and executive management.

- Show a high degree of adaptability and professional integrity, with the ability to thrive in the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of a professional advisory firm in Navi Mumbai.

- Demonstrate a proactive approach to staying updated on global and domestic tax policy changes, ensuring the firm remains ahead of regulatory shifts.

- Overall team responsibility: 80+ Articles and Associates
