
Position Title: Head Talent Development
Job Purpose:
Responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-wide learning and leadership development strategies that build technical, functional, behavioral, and leadership capabilities across the workforce. The role ensures employees at all levels are equipped with future-ready skills that support business transformation and growth. By developing flagship leadership journeys, technical training interventions, and behavioral programs, the role enables career progression, strengthens succession pipelines, and fosters a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements and Skills:
Minimum Degree: Postgraduate in HR/OD/L&D (Premier institute preferred).
Experience: 15+ years in HR with 8-10 years in Learning & Development / Talent Development, including program design and delivery.
Area-specific knowledge:
- Expertise in leadership development frameworks and succession-linked learning.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and digital learning platforms.
- Experience in building technical and functional academies to support operational needs.
- Proven ability to measure ROI and impact of learning interventions.
- Familiarity with external learning partners, certifications, and industry-specific skill-building.
Main Accountabilities:
Technical Training (SRSTI)
- Design & deliver structured technical training programs via SRSTI to build deep domain expertise & operational excellence.
- Ensure alignment of technical curricula with evolving industry and business needs.
Functional Capability Building
- Develop and institutionalize functional capability frameworks to build specialized skills across functions.
- Partner with business leaders to define role-based capability requirements and close identified gaps.
People Development Strategy
- Create and implement people development strategies that support career growth and strengthen organizational capability.
- Align individual learning needs with business transformation priorities.
Leadership Development
- Design and deploy leadership development journeys for emerging, mid-level, and senior leaders.
- Build readiness of future leaders by embedding programs linked to succession planning.
Behavioral Training Design & Execution
- Curate and execute enterprise-wide behavioral training programs that embed organizational values and foster collaboration.
- Leverage experiential and digital learning methodologies to scale cultural and behavioral alignment.
Learning Infrastructure & Partnerships
- Establish strategic partnerships with external training institutions and providers to broaden access to specialized learning.
- Leverage digital learning platforms to deliver scalable, accessible, and engaging training programs.
Measurement & Impact
- Implement learning evaluation mechanisms to track effectiveness, ROI, and business impact of programs.
- Continuously enhance curricula and design based on business feedback and evolving capability needs.
