Job Description: Head of Sustainability (ESG) - VP Level

Job Overview:

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Head of Sustainability (ESG) at the VP level. In this critical role, you will be responsible for spearheading our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy and integrating sustainability throughout the entire project lifecycle-from design and engineering to construction and ongoing operations.

A primary focus of this role is leading our mission to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2045. You will drive the implementation of low-carbon solutions, green infrastructure, and sustainable building practices to ensure we remain a leader in sustainable real estate development.

Key Responsibilities:

ESG Strategy & Net Zero Roadmap:

Develop and execute an ESG strategy aligned with global frameworks and lead the roadmap toward Net Zero Carbon by 2045.Sustainable Engineering: Implement green construction methodologies, including the use of low-carbon materials, modular construction, and AI-driven smart building systems.

Operational Excellence:

Benchmark energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction; oversee on-site waste recycling and sustainable demolition.

Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to national and global environmental regulations while leading efforts for certifications such as LEED, IGBC, GRIHA, and WELL.

Annual Reporting: Publish comprehensive annual sustainability reports and manage ESG performance metrics like carbon footprint and energy efficiency.Innovation: Integrate tech-driven solutions, including smart grids, battery storage, IoT-based Building Management Systems (BMS), and EV charging infrastructure.

Stakeholder & Finance Engagement: Collaborate with government bodies, engage investors in green financing (ESG-linked bonds/loans), and train internal teams on sustainable practices.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: $BE/ME$ in Environmental/Sustainability, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.

Professional Experience: Over 20 years of experience in ESG, Sustainability, or Green Building within the real estate, infrastructure, or construction industries.

Preferred Certifications: LEED AP, IGBC AP, GRIHA, WELL, or similar professional sustainability credentials.

Key Skills & Competencies Strategic Leadership: Proven track record in leading large-scale sustainability initiatives and managing multidisciplinary teams.

Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to influence and drive sustainability adoption across departments like Design, Procurement, Sales, and Operations.

Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Carbon Footprint Analysis, and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).

Negotiation: Ability to engage effectively with financing partners, regulatory agencies, and ESG investors.Communication: Excellent presentation skills with the ability to create high-quality research papers, case studies, and sustainability reports.
