KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Leadership:

- Implement a cohesive sustainability strategy aligned with the company's vision, mission, and business objectives, establishing short, medium, and long-term sustainability goals

- Lead the integration of ESG considerations across all business functions including operations, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, human resources, and finance

- Drive the organization's sustainability agenda and establish it as a core business priority

Environmental Sustainability:

- Oversee initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint in the plants, including carbon emissions, energy consumption, water usage, and waste generation

- Monitor manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, and logistics to identify opportunities for environmental improvements

- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, permits, and statutory requirements

- Lead initiatives on renewable energy integration, resource efficiency, and sustainable raw materials

Social Responsibility:

- Develop programs that enhance employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, occupational health and safety, and community engagement

- Ensure ethical labor practices and adherence to human rights standards throughout the value chain

- Build partnerships with local communities, NGOs, and stakeholders to drive positive social impact

- Oversee corporate social responsibility initiatives and philanthropic programs

Governance:

- Ensure ESG governance and adherences to ESG policies. Update governance structure and ESG policies as need be

- Monitor and ensure compliance with ESG reporting requirements

- Conduct ESG risk assessments and integrate findings into enterprise risk management processes

Reporting & Disclosure:

- Lead the preparation and publication of annual sustainability reports, ESG disclosures, and ESG related regulatory filings for stock exchanges and regulatory authorities

- Oversee ESG data collection, analysis, validation, and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and transparency

- Prepare ESG presentations and communications for investors, analysts, board members, and other stakeholders

- Oversee mandatory / voluntary ESG disclosures (including BRSR, Sustainability Report (GRI, SASB), CDP, EcoVadis, and other applicable frameworks)

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Build and maintain relationships with investors, customers, employees, suppliers, regulators, industry associations, and civil society organizations

- Represent the company at ESG forums, conferences, and industry events

- Engage with institutional investors and respond to ESG-related inquiries and questionnaires

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing ESG team

- Collaborate with operations, quality, supply chain, HR, legal, finance, and other departments to embed ESG practices

- Provide training and capacity building programs to raise ESG awareness across the organization

- Foster a culture of sustainability and continuous improvement
