HEAD - LOGISTICS | WAREHOUSE & TRANSPORTATION

The leader will be responsible for driving end-to-end logistics operations across warehouse management, transportation, distribution, inventory control, and logistics planning. The role will provide strategic and operational leadership to build a high-performing, technology-enabled and cost-efficient logistics network aligned with business growth and customer service objectives.

Candidate Profile:

- Proven experience in Logistics, Warehouse Management, Transportation and Distribution.

- Strong understanding of WMS, TMS, ERP and logistics automation/digital solutions.

- Demonstrated track record of cost optimization, process transformation and operational excellence.

Education:

- B.Tech / B.E. / MBA from reputed Tier-1 / Tier-2 institutions (NITs, IIMs, NITIE/IIM Mumbai, SP Jain, Welingkar Institute).

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Logistics Leadership:

- Develop and execute the organization's end-to-end logistics strategy covering warehousing, transportation, distribution and inventory management.

- Align logistics operations with business growth, customer service, cost, quality and working-capital objectives.

- Establish and drive logistics KPIs, dashboards and performance governance mechanisms.

Warehouse & Distribution Management:

- Lead end-to-end warehouse operations including Inbound, receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and inventory management.

- Optimize warehouse layouts, storage systems, material flow and space utilization.

- Drive warehouse automation and technology adoption to improve efficiency and scalability.

Transportation & Delivery Excellence:

- Own the complete transportation lifecycle from shipment planning and route optimization to carrier allocation and final delivery.

- Develop and manage a high-performing transportation partner ecosystem, including 3PLs, fleet operators, and carriers.

- Improve OTIF delivery, fleet utilization, turnaround time and transportation productivity.

Cost Optimization & Operational Excellence:

- Identify and implement initiatives to achieve sustainable logistics cost reduction.

- Drive Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and transportation operations.

Technology, Systems & Analytics:

- Drive effective utilization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), ERP and logistics analytics platforms.

- Build a data-driven logistics culture through real-time dashboards and actionable performance insights.

Compliance, Quality & Safety:

- Ensure robust compliance with statutory, regulatory, environmental, quality and occupational health & safety requirements.

- Ensure adherence to relevant ISO standards and internal controls.

Team & Stakeholder Leadership:

- Build, lead and develop a high-performing logistics organization.

- Partner closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, Finance and Supply Chain teams.
