Head - Supply Chain Operations:

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview:

A rapidly growing consumer business is looking for a senior Supply Chain leader to run and manage large-scale, on-ground supply chain operations. The role will focus on operational excellence across distribution centres, warehousing, transportation, inventory and fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead day-to-day end-to-end supply chain operations across a large distribution network.

- Own performance of DCs, warehouses, transportation and fulfillment operations.

- Drive operational KPIs including productivity, availability, service levels, turnaround time and cost.

- Ensure efficient manpower deployment, capacity utilization and adherence to operating processes.

- Manage transportation operations, fleet performance and logistics partners.

- Drive inventory accuracy, stock availability and reduction of operational losses.

- Identify and implement initiatives to improve productivity, cost and operational efficiency.

- Lead and develop a large frontline and operations leadership team.

Ideal Profile:

- 15-20 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations.

- Strong experience in Retail, FMCG, E-commerce, Grocery or other high-volume distribution businesses.

- Recent, hands-on experience running large-scale DC or warehouse operations.

- Experience managing 10+ distribution or fulfillment facilities with 1M+ sq. ft. of logistics infrastructure.

- Proven experience leading 5,000+ indirect or frontline workforce.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple locations, large teams and complex operational environments.

- Strong focus on execution, productivity, cost control and operational discipline.

- MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.
