Head - Supply Chain Management

About the Role:

A leading organization in the energy and infrastructure sector is looking for an experienced Head - Supply Chain Management to lead its procurement and supply chain function for large-scale power and infrastructure projects.

The role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, strengthening the supplier ecosystem, driving commercial efficiency and ensuring timely availability of critical materials and services required for project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end supply chain and procurement function for large-scale EPC projects.

- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans in line with project and business requirements.

- Oversee supplier identification, prequalification, RFQs, commercial evaluations, negotiations and contracting.

- Drive strategic procurement of major equipment, materials and project packages.

- Lead cost optimization, value engineering and supplier development initiatives.

- Build strong relationships with key suppliers, OEMs and international partners.

- Expand and strengthen the global supplier base across relevant markets.

- Lead negotiations for strategic and high-value procurement contracts.

- Proactively identify supply risks and develop mitigation plans to support uninterrupted project execution.

- Partner closely with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Commercial and other stakeholders.

- Establish robust procurement processes, governance and performance metrics.

- Lead, develop and mentor the SCM team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Senior procurement / supply chain professional with extensive experience in Power, Energy or large infrastructure EPC projects.

- Strong exposure to procurement of electrical and mechanical equipment, project materials and major packages.

- Experience managing complex, multi-location procurement operations with significant commercial responsibility.

- Strong understanding of international sourcing and global supplier markets.

- Exposure to suppliers and OEMs across Asia, Europe and the Middle East will be advantageous.

- GCC experience would be preferred.

- Strong commercial acumen with proven expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiations and supplier management.

- Candidates from the broader Energy / Infrastructure / EPC sector with relevant large-project procurement experience will also be considered.

- International exposure, particularly across Europe or the UK, would be an added advantage.
