Job Summary:


Our client is seeking an experienced Global Head Supply Chain Management to lead end-to-end supply chain planning, governance, and execution. This role is responsible for overseeing production planning, material planning, inventory optimization, demand fulfillment, and long-range capacity planning across multiple sites.


The position plays a critical role in ensuring product availability for commercial launches, manufacturing operations, and market requirements while driving cost optimization, supply continuity, and process maturity. The role will also act as a key driver for S&OP governance, chronic supply issue resolution, and supply chain transformation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


Supply Chain Planning & Execution:


- Review and align production plans for commercial launches, filling operations, and API planning.


- Review and optimize raw material and intermediate planning, including inter-site availability.


- Ensure effective execution of DRP, APO, and MRP processes across the supply chain.


- Finalize and manage supply chain budget activities.


- Ensure product availability for manufacturing, distribution, and market demand.


- Resolve chronic supply issues across captive and market-driven supply chains.


- Lead long-range capacity planning and site utilization strategies.


- Drive site transfer initiatives for APIs and intermediates.


Performance Monitoring & Optimization:


- Monitor key supply chain KPIs such as inventory levels, OTIF, forecast accuracy, forecast fidelity, and demand-supply balance.


- Lead corrective actions to address deviations and improve service levels.


- Drive cost reduction initiatives, alternative vendor development, site transfer programs, and product internalization plans.


- Lead inventory optimization, including norms finalization and liquidation of slow- and non-moving inventory.


S&OP, Governance & Reporting:


- Lead and govern daily reporting and S&OP processes.


- Ensure robust data management and reporting to support S&OP decision-making.


- Review daily and weekly MIS reports and initiate corrective actions where required.


Areas of Responsibility:


- Capacity planning, utilization, and budget mapping


- Production and material planning & scheduling


- Campaign planning


- Master data management


- Business continuity and de-risking plans (alternate sourcing, in-house vs outsourcing)


- APO cycle execution: DRP NPR RCCP MRP PR review & release


- Stock allocation tracking (Demand vs Capacity, Capacity vs Supply)


- Demand fidelity management (launches, filling, captive, and marketing demand)


- New product launch, filling, and query batch supply management


- Supply chain process maturity, including norms setting, cost-to-serve, and master data governance


- Chronic supply issue resolution


- Inventory optimization and working capital improvement

- Quality


- Regulatory and lifecycle management teams


- Distribution and marketing teams


External Stakeholders:


- As required for supply chain execution and coordination


Team Development:


- Responsible for training and capability development of supply chain teams.


- Drive best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement across supply chain functions.


Qualifications & Experience:


Education:


- B.Tech in Chemical Engineering OR


- MBA in Supply Chain Management / Operations


Certifications:


- Professional certification in Supply Chain Management is preferred.


Experience:


- 8-10 years of experience in supply chain management, planning, and operations within complex or regulated manufacturing environments.


Skills & Competencies


- Strong proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, Excel, and MS Office


- Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning and execution


- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills


- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders


- Strategic mindset with strong execution capability
