Head - Supply Chain Management

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership:

- Define and execute the long-term sourcing strategy for raw materials, electronics, electrical/electromechanical components, and precision mechanical parts.

- Lead global and domestic supplier scouting, evaluation, and onboarding for aerospace-grade quality requirements.

- Establish multi-year procurement plans, rate contracts, and strategic partnerships to secure stable and cost-effective supply.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives, including make-vs-buy analysis, vendor consolidation, and value engineering.

- Oversee complex BOM-based sourcing for robotics, automation equipment, and high-precision assemblies.

Vendor Development & Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain a high-quality global supplier network (India, Asia, EU, US).

- Evaluate and develop suppliers based on capability, certification, production capacity, and compliance with AS9100/ISO standards.

- Ensure strong supplier accountability on delivery performance, component reliability, and corrective actions.

- Lead high-stakes negotiations with vendors to secure favorable commercial and technical terms.

Supply Chain Governance & Risk Management:

- Establish supply chain risk frameworks - alternate sourcing, dual vendors, long-lead item planning.

- Anticipate supply disruptions and develop mitigation strategies.

- Drive data-backed decision-making to forecast material demand, lead times, and budget impacts.

Inventory, Logistics & Process Excellence:

- Oversee the full procurement cycle from RFQ - Evaluation - PO - Delivery - QC - Payment.

- Ensure efficient logistics, import/export compliance, and seamless coordination for international shipments.

- Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing working capital.

- Implement ERP-driven processes for traceability, material planning, and purchasing workflows.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, QA, and finance teams to support NPI, prototyping, and scale-up.

- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on sourcing feasibility, supply readiness, and procurement risks.

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain team.
