Head - Supply Chain Management

Job Description:

Role & responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy:

- Develop procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and business objectives.

- Drive cost optimization through strategic sourcing and negotiations.

- Establish procurement policies, processes, and governance frameworks.

Vendor Management:

- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers and subcontractors.

- Conduct vendor performance reviews and maintain approved vendor databases.

- Build long-term partnerships with key manufacturers and distributors.

Project Procurement:

- Coordinate with project, estimation, and engineering teams to understand material requirements.

- Ensure timely procurement of firefighting, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and construction materials.

- Monitor procurement schedules to avoid project delays.

Cost & Performance Management:

- Monitor procurement KPIs, savings initiatives, and supply chain efficiency metrics.

- Prepare management reports on procurement spend, inventory turnover, and vendor performance.

- Identify opportunities for process automation and digitalization.

Team Leadership:

- Lead procurement, stores, logistics, and supply chain teams.

- Develop SOPs and best practices across the supply chain function.

- Mentor and develop team members to improve performance and accountability.

Preferred candidate profile:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field.

- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management preferred.

- 10 to 18 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.

- Experience in construction, EPC, MEP, firefighting systems, or infrastructure projects preferred.
