Role Overview :
- We are looking for an experienced and execution-oriented Head of Supply Chain Management to lead the end-to-end supply chain function for the organization.
- Reporting to the CFO, the role will play a critical part in driving procurement efficiency, inventory optimization, vendor management, logistics coordination, and workforce planning across large infrastructure and turnkey projects.
- The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to infrastructure or capital-intensive industries such as EPC, solar, hydro, power, heavy engineering, or industrial projects, and should possess the ability to manage complex supply chain operations in dynamic project environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Supply Chain & Procurement Management :
- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations including sourcing, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management
- Develop procurement strategies for large-scale infrastructure and turnkey projects
- Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and services aligned with project schedules
- Drive cost optimization and procurement efficiency initiatives across the organization
Vendor & Contractor Management :
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and procurement agreements
- Monitor vendor performance, quality standards, and delivery timelines
Inventory & Material Planning :
- Oversee inventory planning and material management across project sites
- Drive inventory optimization while ensuring uninterrupted project execution
- Implement systems and controls for inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting
Infrastructure & Project Support :
- Work closely with project teams to support execution of turnkey infrastructure projects
- Ensure alignment between project planning, procurement schedules, and supply chain execution
- Manage supply chain risks associated with large and capital-intensive projects
Labor & Resource Coordination :
- Support manpower planning and labor coordination in collaboration with project and site teams
- Ensure smooth deployment and availability of workforce resources across projects
- Drive compliance with labor-related operational requirements and vendor standards
Process Improvement & Governance :
- Implement best practices in procurement, inventory control, and supply chain governance
- Drive automation and digitization initiatives within supply chain operations
- Develop MIS, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for management review and decision-making
Systems, Digitization & MIS :
- Implement and standardize ERP and e-procurement platforms
- Automate PO, GRN, invoicing, and approval workflows
- Develop SCM dashboards and KPIs
- Drive spend analytics and data-driven sourcing initiatives
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, or Materials Management preferred
- Approximately 18 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, procurement, or operations
- Strong exposure to infrastructure, EPC, solar, hydro, power, engineering, or other capital-intensive industries preferred
- Experience in handling turnkey projects and multi-location operations is essential
Skills & Competencies :
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations
- Proven experience in handling high-value procurement and capital-intensive spends
- Strong commercial negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Ability to work in fast-paced and project-driven environments
- Strong analytical, planning, and execution skills
- Experience with ERP systems, MIS reporting, and process automation initiatives preferred
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
