Role Overview:
The Head of Supply Chain Management will lead and oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management. This role is responsible for defining and executing supply chain strategies, ensuring optimal sourcing, strengthening vendor partnerships, and driving operational excellence across the organization.
The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business objectives, enhance service levels, and deliver consistent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations covering procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals and growth plans
- Drive efficient sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations to ensure cost optimization
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing, cross-functional supply chain teams
- Establish strong governance, KPIs, and performance management frameworks
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support operational and customer service excellence
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, digitization, and cost reduction
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
Required Experience:
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management / Procurement / Operations
- Minimum 5+ years in a senior leadership or head-of-function role
- Proven experience managing large, multi-functional supply chain teams
- Strong exposure to strategic sourcing, logistics optimization, and inventory planning
- Experience in structured, high-growth or complex operational environments
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Masters degree / MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, or General Management preferred
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven capability to drive cost optimization and process excellence
- Customer-centric approach with focus on service quality and delivery
- High ethical standards and governance orientation
Preferred (Good to Have):
- Prior experience in Healthcare, Services, or regulated industries
- Exposure to digital supply chain transformation and ERP systems
