Head - Supply Chain - Gourmet/Luxury
Description:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Supply Chain to design, implement, and lead the end-to-end supply chain function for the brand across India. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in food supply chain operations, a strong process orientation, and a service mindset aligned with luxury retail and hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Build and implement the supply chain vision and strategy aligned with the companys growth and retail expansion plans.
- Design and standardize SOPs for procurement, warehousing, logistics, and inventory management across all locations.
- Ensure end-to-end product quality and freshness throughout the supply chain.
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Establish robust sourcing strategies for gourmet and perishable products, maintaining relationships with premium suppliers and importers.
- Negotiate contracts ensuring quality, timelines, and cost efficiency without compromising brand standards.
- Build a vendor network that supports scalability, reliability, and compliance.
Warehousing & Distribution:
- Set up and manage central and regional distribution hubs ensuring seamless inventory flow across stores Pan-India.
- Implement advanced systems for demand forecasting, replenishment, and cold chain management.
- Oversee transportation, last-mile delivery, and store-level replenishment with a focus on freshness and consistency.
Process & Compliance:
- Develop and enforce SOPs ensuring adherence to FSSAI, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Introduce systems and technology to improve visibility, traceability, and operational efficiency.
- Establish strong audit mechanisms and continuous improvement processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with retail, merchandising, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless coordination between demand planning and store operations.
- Work with hospitality teams to align service and presentation standards in-store with backend logistics excellence.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain team.
- Foster a culture of ownership, agility, and service excellence across all levels.
Desired Profile:
- 12 to 18 years of experience in supply chain management within F&B, gourmet retail, hospitality, or premium FMCG.
- Proven experience in setting up and scaling Pan-India operations.
- Strong understanding of cold chain, food safety, and quality management systems.
- Experience in designing and implementing SOPs and technology-driven supply chain systems.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
