Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing operations in Nigeria. The role will be responsible for ensuring efficient production planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and distribution while maintaining cost, quality, and service-level objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth and timely supply of products.

- Oversee production planning, capacity utilization, material availability, and production schedules.

- Manage procurement, inventory planning, warehousing, logistics, and distribution activities.

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve cost efficiency, service levels, inventory turns, and operational productivity.

- Ensure optimum availability of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and critical supplies.

- Manage logistics operations including inbound/outbound transportation, fleet/3PL coordination, warehousing, and last-mile distribution.

- Monitor inventory levels, stock ageing, slow-moving/non-moving inventory, and working capital.

- Drive S&OP / demand and supply planning in coordination with Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, and other functions.

- Identify supply chain bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve OTIF, lead times, and order fulfilment.

- Develop and monitor key operational KPIs including OTIF, inventory days, forecast accuracy, production efficiency, logistics cost, order fulfilment, and warehouse performance.

- Lead and develop the supply chain, manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics teams.

- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and company standards across operations.

- Build strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, distributors, and other key stakeholders.

- Drive process improvement, cost reduction, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.

- Prepare regular MIS and performance reports for senior management and provide insights for business decisions.

Candidate Profile:

- 12+ years of overall experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Logistics, or related functions.

- Experience handling end-to-end supply chain operations with significant exposure to manufacturing.

- Strong experience in production planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics/distribution.

- Experience managing large teams and multiple operational stakeholders.

- Strong understanding of S&OP, demand planning, inventory management, and supply chain KPIs.

- Experience in cost optimization, process improvement, and operational excellence.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Exposure to ERP/SAP or other supply chain management systems is preferred.
