Head of Department - Supply Chain

The Company

Our client is a Mumbai-based automation and robotics company founded in 2005. They are market leaders and serve quick commerce, e-commerce, 3PL, fashion & apparel, F&B, pharma, electronics, renewable energy, and manufacturing.

Purpose

Own the end-to-end supply chain - from project planning through technical procurement to stores, logistics, and dispatch - ensuring automation projects are delivered on time, on cost, and on specification.

Key Responsibilities :

- Project Planning : Build and own project plans, material schedules, and delivery timelines; coordinate across engineering, production, and project execution to meet committed dates.

- Procurement / Sourcing (Technical) : Lead technical sourcing of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, fabricated parts, and bought-outs; drive vendor development, negotiation, cost control, and quality/delivery management.

- Stores / Logistics / Dispatch : Manage inventory, inward/outward stores, inter-plant material flow, inbound logistics, and timely site dispatch.

- End-to-end leadership : Drive cost reduction, lead-time compression, supplier reliability, and material-availability discipline through clear metrics and ERP-based planning.

Ideal Candidate :

- 12-18 years in supply chain within capital equipment, machine building, industrial automation, or engineering-to-order manufacturing.

- Proven end-to-end ownership of planning + technical procurement + stores/logistics in a project-based environment.

- Strong in vendor development, BOM-driven sourcing, and ERP-based planning.

- Engineering degree preferred; supply chain / operations management qualification a plus.

- Must be able to join in 15-45 days

- Current CTC must be between 25-45 LPA
