Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across sourcing, manufacturing, warehousing, and dispatch.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor production and delivery to meet demand and customer commitments.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean/Kaizen/6- methodologies.
- Ensure alignment of operations with company goals on sustainability, cost, and performance.
2. Supply Chain Management
- Lead end-to-end supply chain including demand planning, procurement, logistics, and vendor management.
- Achieve 100% On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) deliveries and eliminate material stockouts.
- Optimize inventory, logistics, and material planning to minimize working capital and lead times.
- Implement ERP-based visibility and tracking across all nodes of the supply chain
3. Cost Efficiency & Optimization
- Deliver a minimum 10% YoY reduction in operational costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation, alternate sourcing, and process efficiency.
- Improve production yields and reduce wastage by 20% within 12 months.
4. Process & SOP Development
- Develop, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all functions under operations.
- Ensure 100% process compliance and zero critical deviations.
- Build a performance-driven operations culture with clear accountability metrics.
5. Compliance & Governance
Ensure complete adherence to statutory, legal, and environmental regulations, including:
- Factory Act, Labour Laws, Fire & Safety Standards
- Pollution Control Board (KSPCB/CPCB) requirements
- Packaging Waste Management Rules
- GST, E-way Bills, and related documentation
- Maintain compliance tracker and drive closure of all audit observations.
6. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across sourcing, production, logistics, and QA.
- Define KRAs/KPIs, conduct regular reviews, and foster a culture of ownership and excellence.
- Build leadership pipelines and enhance capability through training and skill development.
7. Vendor & Partner Management
- Develop strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and cost competitiveness.
- Drive alternate vendor development for key raw materials.
- Implement a vendor rating and review system with quarterly performance evaluation.
8. Reporting & Performance Management
- Establish dashboards for visibility on OTIF, cost, yield, and compliance metrics.
- Present monthly operations reviews to the management team with action plans.
Education:
- B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering) or equivalent.
- MBA / PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain (preferred).
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma / Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 12-18 years of experience in manufacturing or packaging industries, preferably with exposure to biopolymers, flexible packaging, or FMCG supply chains.
- Proven track record of leading plant and supply chain operations at scale.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, planning tools, and process automation.
