Head - Supply Chain & Logistics - FMCG/Retail

Role Objective:

Lead end-to-end supply chain operations covering warehousing and transportation, with a strong focus on OTIF >95%, cost optimization, operational efficiency, and scalable multi-location execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead inbound and outbound logistics, including fleet management, route optimization, and transporter SLA governance to minimize demurrage, damages, and delays.

- Oversee warehouse operations covering inventory control, layout optimization, manpower productivity, safety compliance, and SOP adherence.

- Drive demand forecasting and capacity planning in collaboration with sales, tracking KPIs such as cost per ton, vehicle utilization, and ageing inventory.

- Lead vendor and 3PL contract negotiations, monitor performance, and deliver 10-15% year-on-year cost efficiencies.

- Implement and optimize digital tools (TMS, WMS, ERP dashboards) and lead cross-location teams of 20-50 members.

Candidate Profile:

- 12-18 years of experience in supply chain/logistics, including 5+ years in leadership roles managing warehousing and transportation operations.

- Strong exposure to multi-location operations in India, preferably within FMCG, retail, or e-commerce environments.

- Proven expertise in ERP systems, advanced Excel, and vendor negotiations.

- Educational background in Engineering or MBA (Supply Chain/Operations).

- Strong analytical mindset, people leadership skills, and ability to manage disruptions (seasonality, infrastructure constraints, labor issues).

- Proficiency in English and Hindi; additional regional language skills are an advantage.
