Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain leader to manage and strengthen the end-to-end supply chain for the seed business. The role will be responsible for seed production planning, processing capacity, inventory deployment, warehousing, logistics, and market distribution, while ensuring timely availability of approved and quality-compliant seed products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and lead the overall supply chain strategy aligned with business demand, production plans, and market requirements.

- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing supply chain team across planning, production coordination, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.

- Plan and coordinate seed production and processing capacity based on demand forecasts, seasonal cycles, product requirements, and business priorities.

- Coordinate with seed production partners, processing facilities, and internal teams to ensure timely availability of seed inventory.

- Manage end-to-end inventory planning and deployment across locations to ensure optimal availability and working capital management.

- Oversee warehousing operations, inventory accuracy, storage conditions, stock movement, and product traceability.

- Lead logistics and distribution planning to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of seeds to markets and customers.

- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to align supply plans with market demand, seasonal requirements, and commercial priorities.

- Partner with Quality and R&D teams to ensure timely supply of approved seeds meeting quality and regulatory requirements.

- Establish appropriate inventory levels, safety stocks, replenishment plans, and supply contingency measures.

- Monitor supply chain KPIs including service levels, inventory turns, production/processing utilization, logistics costs, forecast accuracy, and working capital.

- Identify supply risks and bottlenecks and develop mitigation and contingency plans, particularly around seasonal production cycles.

- Drive process improvements, cost optimization, supply chain analytics, and technology adoption across the function.

- Ensure effective use of SAP/ERP systems for supply planning, inventory management, procurement, warehousing, and reporting.

- Develop supply chain dashboards and management reports to support data-driven decision-making.

- Ensure adherence to applicable quality, compliance, safety, and operational standards across supply chain activities.

Required Skills:

- 18 - 20 years of experience in end-to-end supply chain management, preferably within the seed or agriculture industry.

- Strong experience in seed production, processing, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and market distribution.

- Deep understanding of seasonal supply cycles, production planning, demand forecasting, and inventory deployment.

- Proven experience leading large supply chain teams and managing multiple operational stakeholders.

- Strong understanding of quality requirements and coordination with R&D/Quality teams in seed production and processing.

- Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems and supply chain analytics.

- Strong expertise in supply planning, working capital, inventory optimization, logistics, and cost management.

- Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

- Strong ability to manage complex, time-sensitive supply chain operations in a seasonal business environment.
