Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Head Supply Chain to lead the end-to-end supply chain function for a large, fast-paced FMCG organization. The role will be responsible for driving supply chain strategy, ensuring high service levels, optimizing inventory and working capital, and building a robust, agile and scalable supply chain network.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing high-volume, multi-location manufacturing and distribution operations, with a proven track record of improving supply chain efficiency, service levels and cost competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy aligned with business growth and commercial objectives.

- Lead the end-to-end planning process covering demand planning, supply planning, production planning, inventory planning and distribution.

- Build scalable supply chain capabilities to support business growth, new market expansion and changing customer requirements.

- Establish robust S&OP processes to improve demand visibility, supply alignment and decision-making.

Demand & Supply Planning:

- Own the demand planning process and drive forecast accuracy through collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Business teams.

- Translate demand forecasts into efficient supply and production plans.

- Identify supply-demand gaps and proactively develop mitigation plans.

- Improve forecast accuracy, production adherence and overall supply reliability.

Manufacturing & Operations:

- Work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize production planning, capacity utilization, line efficiency and overall plant productivity.

- Drive initiatives around OEE, production adherence, yield improvement, wastage reduction and manufacturing cost optimization.

- Ensure effective coordination between plants, warehouses and commercial teams.

- Support capacity planning and network optimization based on business requirements.

Procurement & Vendor Management:

- Partner with Procurement to ensure availability of critical raw materials, packaging materials and other inputs.

- Develop strategic supplier relationships and improve supplier performance, cost, quality and reliability.

- Establish robust supply risk management and contingency planning for critical materials.

Warehousing & Distribution:

- Lead the warehousing and distribution network across multiple locations.

- Optimize warehouse capacity, inventory movement, transportation costs and delivery performance.

- Improve OTIF, fill rates, order cycle times and logistics productivity.

- Identify opportunities for network optimization, route optimization and reduction in logistics costs.

Inventory & Working Capital:

- Drive inventory optimization across raw materials, packaging, finished goods and distribution locations.

- Balance service levels with inventory and working-capital objectives.

- Establish inventory norms, ageing controls and replenishment mechanisms.

- Reduce excess, obsolete and slow-moving inventory.

Cost & Productivity:

- Identify and execute initiatives to reduce overall supply chain costs.

- Drive productivity improvements across manufacturing, warehousing, transportation and distribution.

- Develop and track supply chain budgets and ensure adherence to cost targets.

- Use data and analytics to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement.

Technology & Transformation:

- Lead supply chain digitization and analytics initiatives to improve visibility, planning and decision-making.

- Strengthen ERP, planning and supply chain management systems.

- Drive automation and process standardization across the supply chain.

- Build dashboards and performance-management mechanisms around key supply chain KPIs.

Candidate Profile:

- 1520+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing Operations and/or Logistics within a large-scale FMCG/FMCG-adjacent environment.

- Experience managing high-volume, multi-location supply chains is strongly preferred.

- Strong exposure to demand planning, S&OP, production planning, logistics, warehousing and inventory management.

- Experience working in organizations with complex distribution networks and large SKU portfolios.

- Strong commercial understanding with the ability to balance service, cost and working capital.

- Demonstrated experience in supply chain transformation, productivity improvement and cost optimization.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management capabilities.

- Proven ability to lead large teams and work effectively with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement and Manufacturing.

- Experience with ERP and supply chain planning systems is essential.
