
Job Purpose:
The role Strategy & Transformation will be responsible for ensuring depth and speed in the strategy development and milestone-based execution, up to and including the enabling vectors (organizational structures, People, Systems, Rewards, etc.).
Specifically, the role will:
- Participate in and support development of long-term Group and entity strategies, including functional strategies, as and when needed
- Ensure reflection of strategy into organizational structure, top team competencies, systems, processes, governance, and metrics
- Explore new business models and growth opportunity
- Support prioritisation of business opportunities
- Carry out risk assessment of existing based on new technologies and trends
- Develop a network of external experts that can be leveraged for support in strategic problem solving

Strategy Development:
- Support in development and evolution of corporate strategy in line with market trends, customer needs, and long-term business goals
- Lead annual and long-term strategic planning processes and scenario modelling
- Explore backward/forward integration to strengthen the value chain
- Support development of key enablers
- Ensure reflection of strategy into organizational structure, top team competencies, systems, processes, governance, and metrics
- Drive a culture of agility, innovation, and strategic thinking enterprise-wide
- Champion data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Lead communication and engagement plans for major strategic shifts or restructures
Strategy Custodianship:
Monitoring:
- Set strategic KPIs and ensure performance tracking through dashboards and governance
- Collaborate across departments to ensure strategy execution is aligned and resourced
Evaluation:
- Report deviations from strategic plans in execution and the root -cause analyses thereof
- Expedition: Actively support the management teams in expediting strategy execution through
- facilitating a point-solution in cases where strategy exists, but the context might have changed and /or execution is not working
- co-creating solutions for entities in case of new-to-entity skills/ capabilities required as part of long-term strategy
Group Market Intelligence:
- Identify new business models, market opportunities, and digital transformation initiatives
- Conduct market, competitor, and customer analyses to inform strategic decisions
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO, CFO, and other executives
- Build relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators and industry bodies

ACHIEVEMENT PROFILE:
Education Qualifications / Background:
- Masters degree in strategy, or related field IIT/IIM
Relevant and Total Years of Experience:
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in strategy formulation and execution, preferably in the chemicals industry
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategies
- Strong understanding of chemicals sector
- Experience working with and through cross-functional teams and external partners
Technical/Functional Expertise:
- Proficiency in consulting tools and frameworks
- Ability to develop long-term strategies and execution while adapting to changing market conditions
- Good understanding of both GTM and cost-efficiency strategies
Behavioural Competencies:
- Proven leadership skills to manage indirect teams and drive strategic initiatives
- Innovative mindset to develop unique concepts and strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data
