Role Overview:
This is a senior banking operations transition leadership role responsible for building and scaling while transitioning processes.
The person will act as the India Operations Transition - Mobilisation Leader, ensuring that processes are transitioned smoothly, the right people are hired and trained, controls and risk are properly established, and the transition delivers the expected cost and productivity benefits.
Key responsibilities:
Mobilisation - Workforce:
- Lead large-scale hiring, onboarding, training and ramp-up of India Operations teams.
- Ensure resources are available on time, within budget and at the required quality.
- Build leadership and operations teams through local talent markets, universities and peer companies.
End-to-End Transition:
- Own the transition of functions and processes.
- Work closely with Business Executives and demand forums to assess transition readiness.
- Evaluate workforce requirements, capacity, service levels, process mapping, digitisation plans, risks and operational obligations.
Risk and Controls:
- Ensure controls are identified, mapped to standards and automated or detective wherever possible.
- Establish operational governance so controls are consistently executed, monitored and reported.
- Maintain or improve risk and ICS scores during transitions.
Commercial and Productivity Outcomes:
- Partner with process owners to size and deliver the commercial benefits and business case.
- Drive productivity, cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Ensure customer output, quality and cost targets are achieved.
Stakeholder and Operations Leadership:
- Manage senior stakeholders, including educating onshore teams about the India operating model.
- Provide operational oversight and ensure transitioned processes perform effectively in BAU.
- Connect insourced, outsourced and different geographic teams to create end-to-end process synergies.
