Position Summary: The Head of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Global Sourcing will lead the organizations procurement and sourcing strategy to drive efficiency, cost optimization, supplier management, and innovation across the global supply chain. This individual will oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and services essential for product manufacturing, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:

- Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies to optimize supplier relationships and reduce costs while maintaining quality and reliability.

- Identify and evaluate global sourcing opportunities to expand the supplier base and mitigate risk.

- Conduct market analysis to stay updated on trends, pricing, and emerging technologies within the manufacturing industry.

- Develop and execute global sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with business goals.

Procurement Management:

- Oversee procurement operations, including supplier negotiations, contracts, and purchase orders.

- Ensure the procurement process aligns with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and sustainability objectives.

- Drive the implementation of procurement systems and technologies to streamline operations and improve data-driven decision-making.

Global Sourcing:

- Lead the identification and management of international suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.

- Manage and monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and quality standards.

- Evaluate geopolitical, economic, and regulatory risks and develop strategies to maintain supply chain resilience.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

- Build and lead a high-performing team of sourcing and procurement professionals.

- Foster collaboration across departments, including R&D, manufacturing, operations, and finance, to align procurement strategies with business needs.

- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the procurement function.

Cost Optimization and Value Creation:

- Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and delivery timelines.

- Identify opportunities for value engineering and process improvements to enhance efficiency.

- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost savings achieved.

Supplier Relationship Management:

- Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and innovation.

- Negotiate contracts and agreements that maximize value while maintaining flexibility.

- Address supplier issues proactively and build contingency plans to minimize disruptions.

Risk Management and Compliance:

- Establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards.

- Monitor and mitigate risks related to supplier performance, geopolitical issues, and supply chain disruptions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

- 15+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and global supply chain management, preferably within the product manufacturing industry.

- Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.

- In-depth knowledge of global supply markets, procurement systems, and manufacturing processes.

- Experience in implementing procurement technologies (e.g., ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms).
