The Strategic Alliances Head for India will hold ultimate responsibility for formulating and executing our strategic approach toward all engagement with Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs), their Administrative Ministries, and key governmental bodies across the nation. This executive role is pivotal in driving Talent at Work's (TaW) and its client's expansion within the Indian public sector ecosystem.
Responsibilities encompass strategic business planning, high-level stakeholder diplomacy, maximizing market share, and upholding the highest standards of governance and transparent communication.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned executive possessing working knowledge of the Indian PSE/CPSE architecture, a verifiable history of successfully securing and executing large-scale projects within the government framework, and an unwavering commitment to national development goals, particularly regarding workforce capability building and Vision 2047.
Where Can You Work From
This is a senior executive position requiring proactive engagement with government and PSE leadership. The role is mandated to be based in the New Delhi/NCR region to ensure close proximity to Administrative Ministries and central PSE headquarters. Significant travel across India to client and government offices will be required. TaW maintains a structured hybrid work model that balances the necessity of operational presence with flexible work arrangements.

How Will You Contribute
- Strategic & Operational Leadership: Develop and execute TaW's core operational strategy for the Indian PSE and governmental markets, ensuring complete alignment with global strategic imperatives and TaW client's objectives. Drive demonstrable growth, profitability, and expansion in market share.
- Public Sector Business Development: Proactively identify, qualify, and secure high-value contracts and tenders within the PSE landscape. Lead complex, multi-stage negotiations and manage the entire lifecycle of major government and PSE strategic engagements.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the principal representative for all India-PSE/government discussions. Cultivate and maintain robust, transparent, and ethical relationships with PSE CMDs/Directors, Ministerial Secretaries/DGs, and other critical decision-makers across the public sector hierarchy.
- Operational Oversight & Efficiency: Provide executive oversight for all day-to-day operations related to PSE projects and strategic initiatives within India, ensuring operational excellence, optimized business processes, and delivery efficiency across all functional areas.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all operations comply with local laws, regulations, and company policies. Mitigate operational risks and ensure business continuity.
What You Need:
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership/strategy directly engaging with or within Indian PSEs or a relevant Administrative Ministry/government entity.
- Deep and demonstrable knowledge of the Indian PSE business landscape, including hierarchy and decision-making matrix, market dynamics, regulatory environment, and cultural nuances.
- Proven experience in scaling a business from the ground up or managing significant growth in the Indian market.
- Strong background in strategic planning and team leadership.
- Experience in the education /training /consulting / association industry is required.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is a must. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
