The Opportunity:
- This is a rare, career-defining opportunity for a senior commercial leader to build the sponsorship and partnership function from scratch for a new international sports property.
- As Head of Sponsorship & Commercial Partnerships, you will be the most senior commercial voice in the organisation - owning the full revenue strategy, leading high-value negotiations, and building a portfolio of landmark partnerships that define the property's identity and financial foundation.
- You will report directly to the founding leadership team and have the mandate, the platform, and the credibility of a world-class ownership and advisory ecosystem behind you.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own the Commercial Strategy
- Define and execute the end-to-end sponsorship and partnership strategy across the league entity and franchise network
- Establish a tiered sponsorship framework - title, presenting, associate, category, and digital partners - that maximises revenue while protecting brand equity
- Build a multi-year commercial roadmap aligned to the property's growth trajectory and media footprint
2. Drive High-Value Partnership Acquisition
- Lead the identification, pitch, and closure of marquee sponsorship deals across categories including title sponsorship, financial services, FMCG, technology, apparel, and travel
- Engage directly with CMOs, heads of sponsorship, and senior brand decision-makers across India, Europe, and international markets
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of brand, agency, and media partners aligned with the property's audience and broadcast reach
- Structure and negotiate complex, multi-year commercial agreements with a focus on long-term strategic value
3. Activate and Protect Partner Value
- Oversee seamless delivery of all sponsorship commitments - on-ground, broadcast, digital, and experiential
- Build a partnership management framework that ensures sponsors receive measurable ROI and consistent renewal intent
- Work closely with marketing, broadcast, operations, and franchise commercial teams to maximise activation impact
4. Build and Lead the Commercial Function
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing commercial and partnerships team over time
- Establish commercial processes, reporting structures, and tools that bring rigour and accountability to revenue operations
- Provide board-level reporting on pipeline, deal status, revenue forecasts, and market intelligence
5. Monetise the Digital & Content Ecosystem
- Develop integrated commercial propositions spanning broadcast partnerships, digital content, fan platforms, fantasy gaming, and data analytics
- Identify and close partnerships across emerging categories including streaming, fintech, and sports analytics
