Role Overview:

The Head of Spinning Maintenance serves as the strategic lead for all engineering and maintenance operations within our spinning unit. In this high-impact role, you will oversee the end-to-end maintenance lifecycle, ensuring maximum machine uptime, operational efficiency, and the seamless integration of modern engineering practices. You will work closely with plant leadership, production heads, and external technology partners to drive process excellence and technical reliability. By spearheading preventative maintenance strategies and optimizing engineering workflows, you will directly influence the plant's output quality, cost-efficiency, and long-term competitive edge in the textile manufacturing landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the comprehensive maintenance strategy for all spinning machinery to ensure peak operational performance and minimize unplanned downtime.

- Lead cross-functional engineering teams to execute complex overhauls and routine maintenance schedules, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

- Implement advanced predictive maintenance programs and data-driven monitoring to enhance the longevity and reliability of critical plant assets.

- Manage capital expenditure projects and equipment upgrades, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure technical specifications align with business growth objectives.

- Drive process excellence initiatives by identifying bottlenecks in maintenance workflows and implementing lean engineering solutions to reduce operational costs.

- Mentor and develop technical talent across the shop floor, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and high-performance engineering.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale spinning plant maintenance, including deep technical knowledge of blowroom, carding, draw frames, and ring frame machinery.

- Proven ability to lead and inspire large, diverse engineering teams, with a focus on conflict resolution, performance management, and collaborative decision-making.

- Exceptional analytical capabilities to interpret technical data, manage maintenance budgets, and translate complex engineering challenges into actionable business strategies.

- Strong communication skills to effectively bridge the gap between technical maintenance teams and senior management, ensuring alignment on plant operational goals.

- A degree in Textile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, complemented by a track record of driving process excellence in high-volume manufacturing environments.

- High adaptability to on-site plant environments, with the resilience to manage critical breakdowns and high-pressure operational demands effectively.
